Isla & Fraser...
Based in the UK, we are Simon and Rebecca, the husband and wife team behind Isla & Fraser, creating exceptionally soft baby knits.
Named after our twin children, family values are woven into the fabric of our organic baby brand, with our designs and brand ethos deeply rooted in nature.
from one parent to another
Inventing by way of necessity, we created Isla & Fraser from our experience as parents. We have a girl and a boy and we knew we didn’t want them defined in pink and blue. Our son has extremely sensitive skin and everything he came into contact with seemed to cause a rash so we began a process to overhaul everything he touched and check the labels more closely for what we were using. Sure enough, once we switched to 100% organic products, the rashes soon disappeared.
Our biggest frustration came when searching for suitable baby blankets. We wanted breathable, genderless options in beautifully modern designs. We also wanted them to be the softest thing our babies’ delicate skin could possibly touch: warm yet breathable, thermoregulating, easy to swaddle, easy to wash, and most importantly that they were made from organic cotton - containing no irritating chemicals or nasty pesticides.
Yet we couldn't find a product that ticked all of these boxes. We didn't want to have to compromise on any of these factors so we set about creating a product that ticked every box ourselves - combining functionality, softness and style.

Using Rebecca's background in knitwear design and over a decade of experience in knitwear manufacturing, we got to work- to create the quality, weight, yarn, tension, design and softness required.
Because we would not settle on any aspect it took a long time, many rejections, lots of wash testing, endless finessing, and finally, certified independent testing, and we knew we had a product we could be proud of and wanted to share with the world.
Once we had established our signature baby blankets, which will always be at the heart of everything we do, we had countless requests for other products too. We applied all of the same principles and expanded our range into baby clothing and comforters and also our signature 'big knits' (bigger versions of our blankets for big kids and grown ups!).
We are extremely proud that we have now won twenty industry awards, all tested and voted for by real parents.

We believe in leaving the planet in a better place for our children. We are committed to always being a 100% organic brand.
The quality and safety of our products is paramount to us, which is why we will only work with the very best manufacturers who share the same commitment. Our products are responsibly manufactured in a village in Jiangsu, China, and are independently tested by the world's leading inspection and certification organization. Our factory's knitting capability is, in our opinion, the best in the world (as Rebecca has partnered with them to create knitwear together for over a decade), resulting in truly beautiful craftmanship, bringing to life our intricate and unique designs that are made to last.
All of our knits are independently tested and certified. Our comforters are all tested and certified for EU EN71 & US ASTM F963 toy safety standards.
we will always be 100% organic
Our organic cotton is 100% GOTS certified and you do not need to wash our products prior to use as they have not been made with, or come into contact with, any chemicals or pesticides.
To become GOTS certified you have to meet a set of exacting quality standards at every step of the manufacturing cycle. So when you see this little green label on every one of our products you can be confident that they have been made responsibly and fairly.
We are passionate about being a climate positive organisation and we plant a tree for every order. Our Isla & Fraser forest now has over 15,000 trees.

You can add any scalloped edge blanket colour + any embroidery colour + your baby name to create your own beautifully bespoke item.

Isla & Fraser was built from a love of design and striving to create the very best possible: Heirloom pieces in natural fabrics and genderless colours that can be passed down through generations. Each product is design registered and hand sketched from scratch by Rebecca and this love of design will always be at the heart of everything we do.
